Tubular Trap Successfully Shields Honey Bee Hives from Yellow-Legged Hornets

A newly tested tubular trap significantly reduced yellow-legged hornet attacks on honey bee hives by approximately five times in Spanish field trials. This trap, a modified version of one created by beekeeper Koldo Belaska, features a horizontal mesh tube positioned at hive entrances, with vertical "chimney" tubes at each end to capture hornets.
