Bayburt Governor Mustafa Eldivan attended the 2026 honey harvest event in Karşıgeçit Village, meeting with local beekeepers. The event took place at the apiary of producer Kemal Bayraktar, who has been beekeeping for nearly 20 years and manages 430 hives. Eldivan received insights into the ongoing efforts of the producers during the honey extraction program.

Governor Eldivan emphasized Bayburt's significant potential for beekeeping, attributing the quality of honey production to the region's rich flora, high-altitude pastures, and natural vegetation. He highlighted the importance of the abundant nectar and pollen sources in the plateaus for producing natural and high-quality honey, wishing a fruitful harvest to all beekeepers, especially Kemal Bayraktar.
