Manisa Metropolitan Municipality is launching the "Honeycomb Preservation and Protection Project" to combat the significant issue of the greater wax moth in beekeeping. In the Hıroğlu neighborhood of Gölmarmara district, a container-type cold storage facility will shock the honeycombs, which will then be provided to producers with 100% grant support. This initiative aims to enhance the sustainability of beekeeping and reduce costs for producers.

A cold storage facility has been established in Hıroğlu, Gölmarmara, which will be available for beekeepers starting August 25, 2026. This facility will allow producers to safely store their extracted honeycombs under controlled conditions.
