Long Dinh Ha Onh, the deputy head of the Pokao Beekeeping Cooperative, outlined the local community's journey in developing the Pokao Forest Honey brand. Dung K'No in Dam Rong 4 is characterized by extensive forests and abundant flowering plants, creating ideal conditions for beekeeping. For many years, locals have traditionally harvested wild honey seasonally. However, this practice, reliant on nature, can harm both bee populations and the environment if not managed properly. Consequently, the community has gradually shifted towards proactive beekeeping for more sustainable practices. In 2023, the Agriculture Center of the former Lac Duong District initiated a project to expand the breeding of the imported honeybee (Apis mellifera) in Dung K'No, involving three households from ethnic minorities.
