On August 21, 2026, it is anticipated that the honey production in Bitlis will increase, particularly after the honey served to world leaders at the NATO summit. Favorable rainfall this year, following last year's drought, is expected to boost production significantly. The abundant precipitation during spring and summer has enhanced plant diversity in the region, improving access to nectar and pollen for bees, which is likely to lead to a notable rise in honey yield compared to last year.
