The Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Environment, and Environmental Policy Minister, Joaquín Antonio Pino, proposed on Monday to agricultural organizations the inclusion of beekeeping in extraordinary aid plans and measures to address the impact of wildlife on the sector. During a meeting focused on the beekeeping situation in Castilla y León, Pino acknowledged that this sector is currently one of the hardest hit, as stated in a press release. The historical loss of profitability has been exacerbated by drought, high temperatures, price discrepancies, rising production costs, and the spread of difficult-to-treat diseases.
