Parral's Sanctuary Hive Offers Bees a Lifeline Against Extinction

In Parral, Chihuahua, the approach to managing urban bee swarms has significantly evolved. Previously, emergency responders used soap and water to eliminate swarms found in residential and public areas. Now, the city has established a sanctuary called “Colmena Santuario” to safely relocate and protect these important pollinators. This initiative was created through collaboration between the Municipal Coordination of Civil Protection and Firefighters and Minera Titán, which provided funding and resources for the facility located on the city's outskirts.
