The wildfire in July in the Sierra Oeste region of Madrid has had severe repercussions for beekeepers. Over 1,000 hives were destroyed, leaving surviving bees without sufficient food sources. Beekeepers faced significant losses in honey production and were forced to relocate the surviving colonies due to the destruction of local flora.

He stated that he had never experienced such devastation, estimating that "100 million bees have burned in the Community of Madrid." The fire's impact extended beyond the hives, as much of the vegetation that provided food for bees was also lost, worsening the plight of surviving colonies.
