Lane County Beekeepers Association marks 50 years of beekeeping.

The Lane County Beekeepers Association is gearing up to mark its 50th anniversary. André Sirois, a board member, has been beekeeping on his farm in south Eugene since the pandemic began. Although the club did not meet in person during that time, Sirois started participating in meetings in 2023 and has remained active. He describes beekeeping as a humbling journey, emphasizing the club's role in supporting new beekeepers through their challenges. “It's a great challenge, and succeeding is incredibly rewarding,” he noted, highlighting the benefits despite the difficulties.
