An educational program in Samsun addressed the challenges faced by hazelnut producers and the region's beekeeping potential. Organized by the Samsun Chamber of Agricultural Engineers, Ayvacık Agricultural Chamber, and Ayvacık Local Action Group, the event focused on rising production costs, economic difficulties, the threat of the brown marmorated stink bug, and beekeeping opportunities. Presentations were made by Prof. Dr. İslam Saruhan on hazelnut cultivation and the pest, and Assoc. Dr. Selim Bıyık on beekeeping and honey production.
