Boulder Uses Bees to Gain Insights on Environmental Health

The City of Boulder, Boulder Housing Partners, and Boulder JCC are collaborating on a bee biomonitoring project aimed at assessing local ecosystem health. This initiative will help map plant diversity, track exposure to harmful chemicals, and provide a comprehensive view of Boulder’s ecological status. Community members can join the celebration of the project’s launch at two events: the Boulder Bee Bio-Monitoring Kick-off and Honey Harvest on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at JCC’s Milk and Honey Farm, where they can learn about the project, tour the farm, and collect honey. The second event will be the Tantra Lake Community Festival on Saturday, Sept. 26, featuring food, music, local vendors, and activities.
