Dr. Hooman Soltanian, a reconstructive plastic surgeon at WellSpan, balances his work with a passion for beekeeping, a hobby he began eight years ago after relocating to Maryland. Fascinated by the plight of bees, he connected with another surgeon who introduced him to beekeeping essentials. Dr. Soltanian enjoys learning about bee biology, diseases, and the effects of climate change on them, finding the activity a great way to relax and recharge. He noted that caring for bees has significantly improved his well-being, providing a meditative escape from work stress.
