Agricultural Union calls for urgent funding to protect beekeeping industry.

Unións Agrarias (UU.AA) has urged both the Xunta and the central Government to create a joint economic fund aimed at mitigating the challenges faced by the beekeeping sector due to adverse weather, pests, and the influx of low-priced imported honey. This initiative seeks to prevent hive closures. In a media statement, UU.AA's deputy general secretary, Félix Porto, and UPA's Livestock secretary, José Ramón González, highlighted the difficult situation for beekeeping across Spain, exacerbated by recent extreme weather and rising diseases.
