After a symbolic honey extraction event in İnceyol village, Sivas, Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı discussed the current state of Turkey's beekeeping sector. He emphasized Turkey's significant potential in apiculture, sharing recent statistics on hive numbers and honey production. "We rank second in global honey production and continue to strive for the top position. Our country has approximately 9 million hives, and we expect to produce between 97,000 and 100,000 tons of honey," he stated.
