Non-profit employs honeybees to assist veterans dealing with PTSD.

BOWIE, Md. (7News) — Annually, about 200,000 U.S. servicemembers transition to civilian life, often struggling with the shift from military duty and camaraderie. Storm operates Stormy Acres Bee Farm, where he bottles honey. For this Marine veteran, beekeeping is a therapeutic pursuit. “It gives me a purpose, and I enjoy beekeeping,” he shared. After serving 22 years, primarily as an air traffic controller, he began beekeeping in 2007. “Most retirees lack hobbies, but mine turned into a full-time job with 100 colonies,” he noted.
