Family plays a key role in the success of Blackstone Honey Bee Farms.

Blackstone Honey Bee Farms, a family-operated business in Broad Run, Virginia, is dedicated to producing honey and beeswax products. Richard "Rick" Pounds, 71, has been passionate about bees since childhood, growing up on a farm in Culpeper. After retiring and moving to a rural property with abundant flora, he began beekeeping with colonies from a friend. In 2023, he established Blackstone Honey, selling honey directly and at local markets, with the help of his sons and friends.
