On the Aula roof, seven hives host bee colonies, but TU Delft beekeeper Bart Boogmans is concerned as yellow-legged hornets, or Asian hornets, are attacking them. Although honey has been harvested and will be sold on Monday, the presence of these invasive hornets poses a threat to the honeybees. Boogmans is calling on TU Delft to engage in developing new or enhancing existing technological solutions to combat this issue.
