Yalova Governor Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Usta visited beekeeper Murat Yılmaz to learn about local apiculture efforts. Yılmaz, who has been engaged in beekeeping for nearly 20 years since 2006, welcomed Usta to his production facility. Dressed in beekeeping attire, the governor observed the production processes on-site.

During the visit, Usta gathered information on the production of honey, pollen, propolis, and honey vinegar, closely following Yılmaz's initiatives. Yılmaz operates 275 hives and is expected to produce around 2 tons of honey and 200 kilograms of pollen in the 2026 season. Governor Usta emphasized the importance of enhancing beekeeping in Yalova, increasing production, and promoting value-added bee products. He wished Yılmaz success and a fruitful season ahead.
