Beekeeping is a vital component of Israeli agriculture

Beekeeping is a vital component of Israeli agriculture. Just days before Rosh Hashana, President Isaac Herzog met with beekeepers and representatives from the Israeli Pollination and Honey Council. This visit highlighted the popular New Year tradition of dipping apples in honey, symbolizing a wish for a sweet year ahead. "Israeli honey is part of a historical and biblical tradition that continues today," stated Herzog, echoing the New Year’s sentiment: "May the past year and its curses end, and may the new year and its blessings begin. Good news for all of Israel."
