Optimizing pollination by strategically placing bees for effective work

Honeybees play a crucial role in pollinating commercial crops, but simply placing hives in orchards doesn't ensure effective pollination. Researcher Mike Allsopp highlights the importance of factors such as colony strength, timing, hive placement, competing forage, and communication between growers and beekeepers. Since flowering orchards have a limited pollination window, the timing of hive placement is essential.
