In the Pütürge district of Malatya, beekeeper Mecit Yüksek recently held a honey harvest event attended by Osman Akar, the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry. During a weekend visit to Gündüz Mahallesi (Babik), Akar, along with local agricultural officials, observed Yüksek's beekeeping operations, which have been ongoing for 25 years. Yüksek manages a total of 310 hives, consisting of 60 traditional clay hives and 250 standard hives. Akar participated in the honey harvest and monitored the process closely.
