Prepare in advance for effective pollination strategies.

Effective pollination begins with thorough preparation, according to Arné Stander, a beekeeper and entomologist at Babylonstoren in the Cape Winelands. He emphasizes that successful pollination involves more than just placing hives in orchards at flowering time; it requires strategic planning ahead of the bloom. Stander highlights the importance of communication between farmers and beekeepers, especially since flowering times can vary due to weather changes.
