Shener and Emine Keskin, a couple from Ordu, have been producing honey in Hakkari for 20 years. With around 300 hives, they are pleased with this year's honey yield, thanks to the region's high altitude, clean air, and rich vegetation.

Shener Keskin, 66, moved to Istanbul for construction work at a young age but turned to beekeeping in 1980, inspired by relatives in the field. After practicing in various provinces, he and his wife settled in Hakkari two decades ago, where they appreciate the natural conditions and local interest in beekeeping.
