Beekeeper continues three generations of family beekeeping legacy.

The Honey Festival highlights Kalbajar’s rich beekeeping heritage, uniting local producers to showcase their honey and seek new markets beyond Azerbaijan. Sabir Mustafayev, whose family has been involved in beekeeping for generations, notes that the craft has evolved over his 40 years in the field, particularly in response to challenges like climate change. His family relocated their farm to Kalbajar in 2021 and subsequently opened a honey shop there, followed by another in Baku. The festival aims to elevate Kalbajar’s beekeeping legacy as producers strive to introduce their honey to a wider audience.
