Enver Külter, who transitioned to beekeeping with just 10 hives after years of various jobs in Şırnak, has expanded his operation to 450 hives. Under the brand "Şırnak Yayla Balı," he now distributes his honey across Turkey. His dedication was recognized with a "Gold Quality" award at the London International Honey Awards 2026.

Having moved to Şırnak city center from his village in 1987 due to its evacuation, Külter worked in different jobs that failed to support his family adequately. Seeking a better livelihood, he turned to beekeeping between 2009 and 2010, starting with 10 hives and gradually growing his business to 450 hives today.
