Prime Minister Ünal Üstel attended the "KKTC Beekeeping Development Rural Development Project - Hive Distribution Ceremony." Supported by the Turkish Republic's Nicosia Embassy and TİKA, the project, valued at approximately 4 million TL, distributed 1,000 modern hives with pollen traps to 170 registered beekeepers.

During his speech, Üstel emphasized that the project aims to alleviate the burdens on beekeepers and enhance production capacity. In addition to the hives, beekeepers will receive equipment such as masks, smokers, and hive tools. He noted that support for beekeeping has been increasing annually, with hive support rising from 120 TL in 2023 to 400 TL by 2026, and feeding support increasing from 220 TL in 2025 to 350 TL in 2026.
