A truck accident in Washington state turned into an emergency when millions of honeybees were released after the vehicle, carrying hundreds of beehives, overturned on May 30, 2025. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Weidkamp Road in Whatcom County, near Lynden and the Canadian border, with the truck transporting over 70,000 pounds of hives, resulting in an estimated 14 million bees escaping into the area.
