It is easy to incite conflict and separate farmers from beekeepers, but fostering their natural mutualism is challenging yet transformative. In Colombia, we made the right choice by launching the Alliance Program in 2016, which has led to the establishment of a collective, verifiable, and measurable National Operation System across 28 departments. This initiative demonstrates that Good Agricultural and Beekeeping Practices can coexist harmoniously. This past weekend in Lima, Peru, we reaffirmed this belief: without agriculture and beekeeping, we cannot produce the food we need.
