Muhlis Kızıl, a 46-year-old father of eight from Bahçesaray, Van, has transformed his beekeeping journey over 28 years, starting with 10 hives purchased from selling a cow inherited from his father. His passion for beekeeping, which began in his youth, has evolved into a professional endeavor, leading him to expand his hive count to 650.

Throughout the years, Kızıl has continuously improved his beekeeping skills and increased his hives each season. Thanks to his dedication, he now manages 650 hives, producing honey in the rich flora of Bahçesaray's highlands, which supports his family's livelihood through the sale of raw and filtered honey. He aims to further increase his hives to establish a significant presence in honey production.
