Bornova Municipality has launched a new project that combines its support for agricultural production with social initiatives. Mayor Ömer Eşki participated in the first honey harvest of the year at the municipality's apiary in Kayadibi, where over 30 hives produced natural honey. The event included local rural village heads.

During the honey extraction process, Mayor Eşki announced that the harvested products would be distributed to needy citizens through the Kent Market. He emphasized the importance of production and social justice, stating that fresh and healthy products from Bornova are prioritized for those in need. Eşki remarked, “Our goal is to connect production and social justice with our citizens. Life in Bornova is wonderful, like honey.”
