Preventive measures against two bee diseases have been developed by scientists from the Czech Academy of Sciences in collaboration with beekeeping and technical experts. American foulbrood and European foulbrood are common diseases in the Czech Republic, for which there is no cure, leading to the culling of affected colonies. The final stress tests for the new preventive product are being conducted in a specialized flight hall in Terezín. When an outbreak occurs, the infected colony must be destroyed, as the bacteria involved can survive extreme conditions.
