ASAJA Salamanca and the Salamanca Beekeepers Association have requested the University of Salamanca to enhance beekeeping education within its Veterinary studies. This initiative aims to equip interested students with specialized knowledge in this field.

The request was made through a letter addressed to the university's rector, Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez, and the dean of the Veterinary Faculty, Julio López Abán. The proposal suggests adding sufficient beekeeping content to the curriculum to provide future professionals with a solid foundation, particularly regarding the technical and health needs of beekeeping operations.
