Two pest controllers removed an Asian hornet nest from the playground of KT Campus Katharina primary school in Hasselt yesterday. The nest measured half a meter wide and nearly one meter long. Using a vacuum, they successfully extracted the nest, which contained approximately 2,000 hornets, according to Michiel Neven, one of the pest controllers involved. He and Nicky Torbeyns worked together to eliminate the large nest from the schoolyard.
