Piauí has dropped to third place among Brazil's largest honey producers

Piauí has dropped to third place among Brazil's largest honey producers. From 2020 to 2023, the state achieved record honey production, peaking at 8,829.8 tons in 2023, making it the second largest producer in 2023 and 2024. However, starting in 2024, production declined by 2.5% and 0.63% in 2025, resulting in a total of 8,560 tons and a shift to third place. Meanwhile, Rio Grande do Sul saw a significant production increase of 36.7% in 2025, reaching 10,935.5 tons, surpassing both Paraná and Piauí to become the top producer.
