ASAJA Salamanca and the Association of Beekeepers of Salamanca have proposed to the University of Salamanca to increase the presence of beekeeping in the education of future veterinarians. They submitted this proposal in writing to the university's rector, Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez, and the dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Julio López Abán.

The organizations believe the academic program should include specific content to help students acquire knowledge about the beekeeping sector. This aims to prepare professionals capable of addressing the technical and health needs of beekeeping operations.
