Preparations have begun in Hizan district of Bitlis for the Karakovan Honey Harvest Festival, aimed at promoting karakovan honey and supporting beekeeping activities in the region. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Hizan District Governor Mete Öztürk as part of the festival preparations.

The meeting was attended by Mayor Yahya Şam, President of Hizan Local Action Group Association Şerif Ekinci, President of Hizan Honey Producers Union Seyithan Ekinci, Director of Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation Mustafa Korkmaz, and Acting District Special Administration Director Şiar Gümüş. Planned events and inter-institutional cooperation for the festival were discussed.
