Canarana led Mato Grosso in honey production value in 2025, reaching R$ 2.016 million, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). The state produced 983,193 kilograms of honey that year, with a total production value of R$ 38.663 million. Other top municipalities by production value were Tapurah (R$ 2 million), Sorriso (R$ 1.991 million), Rondonópolis (R$ 1.467 million), and Reserva do Cabaçal (R$ 1.368 million).
