TİKA provided basic beekeeping training to 80 beekeepers in the Una-Sana Canton of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with one bee colony and essential equipment for each. The project aims to empower rural women and youth and increase honey production.
Implemented in cooperation with the Una-Sana Canton Beekeepers Association, the project involved participants from Cazin, Buzim, Velika Kladusa, Bosanski Petrovac, Kljuc, Sanski Most, and Bosanska Krupa. Those who completed the training successfully received bee colonies and equipment. The region is considered highly suitable for beekeeping.
