On October 5, 2026, at 18:06, Turkish police discovered 91.1 kg of drugs hidden in hives with live bees during a truck inspection in Hakkari province. The information was reported by Milliyet citing the Turkish Ministry of Interior.

The operation took place in the Yüksekova district under the supervision of the local prosecutor's office. Law enforcement officers conducted physical and technical surveillance of the suspects for nearly a month before stopping the truck for a detailed search.

During the search, it was found that the drugs were concealed between the combs in the hives with live bees: 85.9 kg of skunk and 5.2 kg of powdered hashish were seized. Three suspects were detained during the operation.
