Konya Metropolitan Municipality supports beekeepers by providing equipment, training, and infrastructure to increase production capacity and promote beekeeping. Support includes fully automatic honey extractors, settling tanks, hives with pollen traps, harvesting tents, and solar panels, which have helped small businesses grow and increased interest in beekeeping.

Beekeeping in Konya has become a strategic production area, with registered enterprises rising from 1,012 to over 1,700 in 10 years, and hive numbers increasing from 93,000 to nearly 140,000. A honey filling, packaging, and processing facility was established in Bozkır district. Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that support for hives and honey harvesting machines has boosted hive numbers.
