The Tenerife Cabildo, through the Primary Sector department, has awarded nearly 20,000 euros in subsidies to six local honey producers for 2026. This funding covers the costs of graphic design and printing of new labels for honey produced in Tenerife.

Valentín González, the responsible councilor, emphasized the importance of promoting the primary sector and enhancing the professionalism and presentation of local products. He highlighted that maintaining the image of Tenerife honey, protected by its Designation of Origin, is key to increasing its market competitiveness and showcasing its quality and the effort of the beekeepers.
