On Thursday, October 15, 2026, IVN beekeepers Joyce van Boekel and Marion de Dooij will give a lecture at the IVN building De Bimd in Aarle-Rixtel. They will enthusiastically share about their bees in the IVN nature garden.
Beekeeping can be done in many ways; Joyce and Marion will explain their choices. The focus is on keeping the bees healthy and the educational role, not on maximizing honey production. In October, they will conclude the 2026 bee year with a review of successes and lessons learned.
Connections will also be made with other IVN disciplines such as insects, flowers, and plants to learn from each other.
Location: IVN building De Bimd, Beekseweg 7, 5735 CB Aarle-Rixtel.
