The Beekeeping Organizations Association of Serbia (SPOS) announced that all beekeepers in Serbia must report the exact number of hives they have entering the winter season to the relevant veterinary station by October 31. Retroactive reporting after this date will not be allowed, according to SPOS.
Each beekeeper is required to submit a list of all hive numbers that will overwinter at the veterinary station assigned to their apiary. If the number of hives has decreased during the year, beekeepers must return the identification plates of the disbanded hives to the veterinarian. This procedure ensures accurate records of apiaries across Serbia.
