In response to the spread of the Asian hornet in the Villé valley, local stakeholders continue their efforts. Following an initial campaign, two public information evenings will be held on October 14 and 16, in Villé and then Lalaye.
After the spring 2026 campaign, beekeepers in the valley are calling for volunteers to join the autumn campaign. Organized by the Villé Valley Beekeepers’ Association, these meetings aim to review the spring trapping results, recruit new volunteers, and present strategies for 2027. They will take place at the MJC Le Vivarium in Villé on October 14 and at the Lalaye community hall on October 16, open to beekeepers, residents, farmers, associations, and local officials.
