After two years of drought in Eskişehir, regular rainfall in spring positively affected production and quality in beekeeping. Beekeepers noted high yields and quality honey thanks to the region's rich flora.

Yılmaz Aşçı, President of the Eskişehir Beekeepers Association, stated that this year was a productive season for honey production and highlighted the awards Eskişehir honey has won in international competitions.

Referring to research by Eskişehir Osmangazi University academics, Aşçı said the city hosts over 2,000 plant species and its varied altitude geography enhances honey quality. The diversity from the Sakarya Valley’s 200-meter lowlands to 1800-meter highlands contributes to the honey’s quality.
