Beekeepers in Gorj County expect to produce between 500,000 and 750,000 kilograms of honey this year. The honey yield in Gorj was relatively good in 2026 compared to the disastrous years of 2024 and 2025, according to Ionuț Pârvan, vice president of the Gorj Beekeepers Association (ACA). The average production was 10-15 kilograms per bee family, and colony numbers have recovered.
