Painter, gardener, beekeeper, and exhibition curator Jan Karpíšek lives in Soběšice, Brno. Alongside his artistic work, he actively engages in beekeeping, gardening, and family life. He collaborates with bees in creating paintings and objects.

Karpíšek explains that bees fill small gaps with propolis, acting like sculptors. He inserts poems and simple sketches into these spaces, to which the bees respond in their own way.
