The Rural Development Administration (RDA) has revised its Korean beekeeping terminology guide, replacing difficult terms with easier native words. Released on the 580th Hangul Day, the updated guide includes 31 simplified beekeeping terms, reflecting feedback from both field practitioners and academics.

The National Institute of Agricultural Sciences had previously published a first edition with 16 simplified terms. The new edition adds 15 more terms related to hive and comb structure, bees and swarms, and bee products, while clarifying existing definitions.
