The 19th Honey Fair will take place on October 11 at Fazendas do Cortiço, celebrating beekeeping, local production, and regional tradition. The event features a walk, a reception for beekeepers, and a talk by Dr. Eduardo Gomes on bee care.

Additional activities include musical performances, a communal lunch, and the awarding of prizes for the Honey Cake Contest, ensuring lively entertainment throughout the day.

The schedule begins at 8:30 AM with a walk titled “Come and Discover Cortiço,” part of the municipality’s 'Walking through Parishes ’26' program. At 9:00 AM, beekeepers are welcomed, followed by a 9:15 AM colloquium covering winter colony preparation, management, feeding, bee diseases, and the Asian hornet (Vespa velutina).
