The expansion of the Eastern hornet in northern Morocco poses an increasing challenge to the beekeeping sector. The phenomenon has spread beyond areas between Tetouan and Fnideq to include Tangier, M'diq, and other regions. Mohammed Stitu, the national coordinator of beekeeping organizations in Morocco, confirmed that the presence of this insect is documented both in the field and scientifically. Professionals were among the first to detect and warn about the threat, sending communications to relevant authorities.
